Sweet and Sour Venison

This is the first time the family has had this one.  We wanted egg rolls, so I threw together a main Chinese dish with venison round steak.  It was delicious.  You could also make this with what ever kind of meat you would like.  I'm positive it will taste just as good!

My hubby thought it would be funny to photo bomb the picture with his fork :)

Ingredients:

Venison  Round steak cubed
2 eggs
1 tsp salt
1 tsp garlic powder
1/2 pepper
1 tbsp. Soy Sauce
Flour
Red and yellow sweet peppers
1 whole onion chunk-ed
2 Tbsp oil

Sauce:
1 20 oz can of chunk pineapple
2 cups water
2/3 cup white distilled vinegar
1 1/2 cup sugar
1 cup ketchup
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tsp cayenne pepper
3 tbsp corn starch

Directions:

a
Cut up round steak and put in a large bowl.  In a separate bowl combine eggs, salt, garlic powder, pepper and soy sauce.  Mix well.  Pour egg mixture over the meat and mix together covering all the meat with egg.  Set aside.  Pour 2 Tbsp of oil into stir fry pan, and heat on medium heat until the oil is warm.  While oil is heating, pour about 1 cup of flour into a bowl and a handful at a time, completely coat your meat in the flour.  Coat all the meat and add to hot skillet.  While meat is cooking, start preparing the sauce.

Sauce:

In a pot combine all of your sauce ingredients except the cornstarch.  Do NOT drain the pineapple.  Stir well, and heat until sauce comes to a simmer.

When meat is completely cooked through, pour your sauce over the meat set about 1/2 cup of sauce aside.
Cut up onion and peppers and put in with meat and sauce mixture and stir well.  Heat till simmering.
With the remaining sauce mix add to the corn starch and mix well till smooth.  Pour this mix into your meat mixture stirring constantly.  This will thicken your sauce.  Heat until Onions are softened up.  Ready to serve.

Voila!!!
 Serve over rice.
