Homemade Pizza and Crust

This is a simple crust, that does not require rise time.  One batch will make 1 thick crust or 2 thin crusts.

Ingredients for crust:

  • 1 pkg of quick rise yeast
  • 1 cup of warm water
  • 2 tsp. vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 1/2 cups of flour
Directions:

Combine yeast, warm water, and oil.  Stir until all of the yeast is dissolved
In a glass bowl, combine salt, sugar and flour.  Add Yeast/Water/Oil mixture.

Knead until you form a ball of dough.

Flour your pizza pan and roll your dough to the size of the pan.  Pinch edges.  Take a fork and make holes all over crust.  This helps it cook more evenly.

Toppings:

You can put just about whatever you would like on your pizza.  Lets start with the sauce.

We prefer using our own spices opposed to using a jar sauce.  I make 3 pizzas for my family, so I use the following for the sauce:
  • 1 Large can of tomato sauce
  • Italian seasoning
  • garlic powder
  • garlic salt
  • onion salt
Directions:  Cover your dough with the tomato sauce.  Sprinkle all of your seasonings on top of sauce.  Use your own judgement on how much you think you should use.  Its all in what you like.

Next add your toppings.  This is also, whatever you would like on your pizza.  Bake your pizza at 425* for 15-17 min.

My family likes the following:

  • Burger
  • sausage
  • pepperoni
  • green pepper chopped
  • onion chopped
  • sliced black olives
  • mushrooms
  • mozzarella cheese
  • cheddar cheese

VOILA!!!!!
